Acceptable Use Policy
This policy forms part of the Terms of Service. It applies to everyone using Filesmithy.
Do not upload
- Material you do not own or otherwise have the rights to process.
- Child sexual abuse material. We report it to the appropriate authorities.
- Content that is unlawful where you are or where we operate, including material that incites violence or terrorism.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery, or content used to harass or defame.
- Malware, or files crafted to exploit our systems or our users.
- Counterfeit documents, forged identity documents or fraudulent instruments.
- Other people’s personal or sensitive data that you have no lawful basis to process.
Do not abuse the system
- No scraping, automated bulk submission or resale of the Service without our consent.
- No circumventing limits, rate limits, paywalls, credits or authentication.
- No probing, scanning or load-testing our infrastructure without written permission.
- No decompression bombs or inputs designed to exhaust memory or CPU.
- No use of the Service to build a competing product from our outputs at scale.
Technical limits
Requests over these limits are rejected. Limits may change as capacity changes.
- Images: up to 20 MB and 4,000 px per side; PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF and BMP only.
- PDF merge: up to 20 files, 25 MB per file, and 2,000 merged pages.
- Long-running jobs are cancelled once they exceed the processing timeout.
Enforcement
We may reject a request, throttle or suspend access, terminate an account without refund, or report the matter to law enforcement. Because uploads are not retained, enforcement is normally based on request metadata rather than file contents.
Reporting
Report abuse, including copyright complaints, to legal@filesmithy.com. Because uploads are never retained, there is no stored copy of any file for us to remove.
